I'm Maddie Crider, a 18-year-old high school student currently navigating the dual-enrollment program at Oakland Early College. In this academic journey, I am actively pursuing several associate's degrees in diverse fields – Cinematic Arts, Technological Sciences, Associate of Arts, General Studies, and a Digital Media Certificate. Each of these disciplines represents not just a qualification but a deliberate effort to blend my passion for cinematic storytelling with a comprehensive understanding of business dynamics.
Venturing into the realm of Cinematic Arts is more than a chosen path; it's a continuation of a lifelong passion that germinated during my earliest projects in middle school. The allure of storytelling through visuals has been a constant thread in my journey. I find joy in the process, from conceptualizing ideas to bringing them to life on the screen. This passion has driven me to seek opportunities beyond the standard curriculum – I've enrolled in several specialized classes and programs, each contributing to my understanding of the craft. Whether it's delving into the nuances of scriptwriting or mastering the technicalities of cinematography, I've embraced every facet of filmmaking with enthusiasm.
Approaching graduation in May 2025 from Oakland Early College and Oakland Community College with both my high school diploma and associate's degrees, I'm gearing up for a seamless transition to a four-year university. Balancing academics with an enduring passion for filmmaking, I aim to continually refine my skills and deepen my craft. Additionally, I'm set to launch Pinkie Promise, my crochet business, in early 2025—a venture that reflects my commitment to creativity in various forms. In the coming years, my narrative will evolve at the crossroads of academia, artistic pursuits, and entrepreneurship, weaving a dynamic and multifaceted journey.
